Our LD50 test for toxicity as part of our commitment to quality and safety, we commissioned two toxicology studies to assess the acute oral toxicity of our Fulvic Powder and Humic Powder products. The studies were carried out in compliance with OECD Principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Compliance Monitoring and with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Good Laboratory Practice Standards, 40 CFR Part 160 (2).
Our Fulvic Powder and Humic Powder products were independently tested. The tested dose for both products was 2000 mg/kg (product weight/body weight). All doses were administrated orally to the animal test subjects. The test subjects were then observed for 14 days after dosing. In both studies, the test subjects appeared normal after dosing and throughout the observation period and no mortalities were observed. Gross necropsy of the test subjects revealed no abnormal findings. According to the conclusions of both study reports, the acute oral LD50 of the test item (i.e., Fulvic Powder or Humic Powder) was found to be in excess of 2000 mg/kg and not concluded to present a significant acute toxic risk if swallowed. Applying this finding to a 70 kg person, a dose of either 140 g of Fulvic Powder or 140 g of Humic Powder would not present a significant acute toxic risk. This amount is in large excess of any reasonable or recommended dose*.
*Fulvic Acid Australia suggested daily intake is 150mg (140g = 933x daily intake)
